TMPGEnc DirectShow 0x80040218

I am using Clad to rip a dvd and then TMPGEnc to convert. I have previously converted a VOB ripped by clad with TMPGEnc to a mpeg but then it would not split it. Gives the error "Could not open this file with DirectShow. (0x80040218)". Now it won't even convert a ripped VOB. Same error message. Also the ripped files won't play on Win Media Player on my system but work fine in PowerDVD. Any help would be great.

Firtly, re-install TMPGenc, that always seems to do wonders when having problems.

What are you trying to make, VCD or SVCD ? Have you read the guides in the Tutorial Section on using TMPGenc ?
