TMPGEnc can't read DV ?

Hi girls and guys

Just wondering :
Why my TMPGEncPlus doesn't accept my mini-DV files from my video camera ?
Windows Media player plays my DV without any pb, but TMPGEnc dos not want them !

Do I need another MPEG2 codec ?

TMPGenc will only accept AVI and MPG files that it find a codec to read them. It depends on what form your mini-DV files are in.

WMP uses the MS directshow codec for DV playback (or an alternative dshow codec) where as TMPGEnc is looking for a VFW one. Just install main concept, canopus, panasonic, etc. DV codec and it should be fine.

Ulead also have a type1/2 converter that may be usefull.
