TMPGenc 3.2 pulldown

I have recently downloaded a avi movie and converted this to to VCD, the movie has been encoded at 23.976fps so i loaded the NTSCfilm tenplate from TMPGenc encoder, an hour and a bit later i have a nice looking VCD that played nicely on my puter, burnt it with NERO but it played jerky like a frame at a time on my DVD player.

Question; do i need to select 3.2 pulldown in the advanced setting tab in TMPGenc so my DVDplayer will play the movie at 29.976 stsndard NTSC, also which tenplate in TMPG do i load NTSCfilm, or just NTSC when selecting 3.2
pulldown.

Thanks Y`all in advance for any help.

A 23.976 fps VCD should play fine in your DVD Player as that is a standard format for VCD (not for SVCD or DVD though). But I'm sure some US DVD player can have this problem.

In TMPGEnc, select NTSC FILM template and then apply the 3:2 Pulldown to produce a final 29.97fps mpg file
