Yep, ver 2.52 of TMPGEnc is now available from h**p://www.tmpgenc.net and dont forget the VFP file also.

Change log is:

Version : 2.52. 2002/02/15

* Optimized for Pentium 3 / Athlon
* Improved loading audio with DirectShow Multimedia Reader
* Improved compatibilities, some AVI file were not able to be read.
* Fixed bug : it was not able to recognize the length of AVI2(OpenDML)file.
* At max number of frame of GOP, TMPGEnc now take the following into consideration.
"3:2 pulldown when playing", "Opposite 3:2 pulldown"
* Improved framerate display at MPEG setting dialog when "3:2 pulldown"is chosen.
* At Merge(Cut) of MPEG tools, if there is any error, it shows the detail of the error.
* If an MPEG-2 file is selected at Project Wizard, it obtains field order info from the header of the file.

Yep, ver 2.52 of TMPGEnc is now available from h**p://www.tmpgenc.net and dont forget the VFP file also I went to site and saw that VFP file.I can download that,is says on site its some kind of plugin.What it does do???I was looking for explanation,and found none?!Could somebody bring some light on it:)

TMPGEnc v.2.52.34.129 Plus released !

TMPG 2.52 Plus has been optimized for P3s and Athlons, improves audio loading using the DirectShow Multimedia Reader and generally works better with AVI input. The length of an OpenDML AVI file is also properly recognized now. Furthermore, at the max number of frames of a GOP TMPG takes the pulldown mode into account, there's improved framerate display in the MPEG settings when 3:2 pulldown has been selected, the MPEG tools will show details of a problem if an error occurs and last but not least if you create an MPEG-2 project using the project wizard the field order is being automatically determined. As usual, don't forget the VFP plugin.

The Tmpgenc.vfp file is used when you load an OpenDML AVI file.

TMPGEnc Pro is the same as standard TMPGEnc, at the moment. Same internal core, just one if from from their home site and the Pro version from their dealer h**p://www.pegasys-inc.com/e_main.html

Further clarification. TMPGEnc 2.51 had a Plus version and a "normal" version, and yes both actually the same.

But checking further, there is now TMPGEnc Pro (not Plus) 2.52 and that is NOT the same as "normal". It has a 14day free trial only before it needs to be registered.

I'm sure the guys are working on a crack/serial for it now, well I hope so!

What OS are you using the cracked TMPGEnc on?
I tried the crack (Win2k/dualCPU) but after patching TMPGEnc doesn't even start anymore (no error message, it just doesn't start).

Worked fine for me, I'm running Win2000 with SP2.

Put crack in same folder as TMPGenc, make sure NO other software is running, then run the patch.

debris im having the same problem as you,
the non-cracked version is working (but my test period has expired).
Everytimes i apply the crack the program doesnt start anymore. With every release of the Plus version i have this problem.
