TMPGemc simple DVD decoding

Is there an easy way to get a dvd into TMPGemc. I would like to experiment with some interesting templates that claim to reduce a dvd to 1 cdr, First attempts are promising but the time to convert runs into nearly a day.

Seriously, transcoding simply takes a long time for quality. DVDx can do it a bit faster on a Pentium 4, but not any faster on AMD unfortunately - the coders only used the Intel instruction set...
