i cannot get tmpg to work when cutting up mpeg files when i load the mpeg file i get cannot load directshow
can any one help

Does Windows Media Player play the movie before you cut it?

Run TMPGEnc and click on Option / Enviromental Settings / VFAPI Plug-in and check that Directshow Multimedia File Reader is ticked.

Try different versions of TMPGEnc, in particular the almost original ver 12a. For cuting etc it seams to always work and can handle VCD and SVCD.
