Please, could anyone help me on that?

I just start watching my DVDs with PowerDVD and after a while the audio is just gone! I have to close the program and open it again to get the audio back... what's the problem? Maybe its some codec conflict?
It happened once that the .avi and .mpg files had the sound gone too after that... help me!

Hi Nabor, Welcome to our forum! :cool:

sorry, i don't really have a clue what happened in your case; never heard from a similar problem, but i would recommend to download and install latest drivers for your C-Media card/chip; also check Cyberlinks homepage to get the latest PowerDVD update;

also try to play back a video file from your HDD and not from DVD, so you can ensure that the media or the DVD-ROM is not the trouble maker;

Thanks!!

I tried to play a ripped chapter from a DVD and got the same problem again.. then I realised that the problem could be with the program (player-powerdvd)... and I think I was correct... It was a shareware version (how dum I am!) and I think it has some kind of time limitation... I installed the full version and its ok now :D
