The ole .bin & .cue. What now?

Greetings...

I recently upgraded to a new DVD-r drive, Pioneer A-05 for bunring DVD's and Cd'rs. Chunked the ole CDR drive since it was getting old and no more open ide slots.

I wasn't even thinking of the fact that neither Fireburner (newest one) or the olde CDRwin 4.0a doesn't support burning or extracting files with this new Burner. The programmer of Fireburner is not planning on a new release soon either.

What other programs are you using out there that makes these every day tasks work for you if you have one of these drives?

Just choose which burning sw you like--need???Everyone will do bin&cue--For example i use Nero for all my everyday needs,as somebody else would say jugller,cdmate...........

pwygant if I was you I would try Burnatonce (as Rasta suggested). It is based on the same code as CDRWin (CDRDAO), yet it is quite improved. So BAO will give you better results overall.

Now Jamieo (Forum member and BAO author) can chime in here, but I have heard of some success from BAO users and DVD-R. Since it's Freeware, what have you got to loose?! ;)

Start with Burnatonce and work your way down the list from there :)

If you like it, don't be a stranger to the Burnatonce forum. Stop by and say "hi", and give Jamie a "thank you" for his providing a great free CDRW utility.

Just to follow up to all your replies.

Burnatonce was the only program that worked with my Pioneer 105. No other program worked although it says is should.

CDRwin definately did not work although the new 3.9C says it is compatible.

Burnatonce is really a much better app all the way around and I am glad I was pointed in that direction!

Thanks Jamio!
