My DVD has 2 of the same vob files?

Hi.. New to the forum.
I'm working on Splitting to 2 discs and have noticed that there are 2 of the same vob files. Only one is a kb larger then the other.
I've played them both and they seem to be the same.
What I want to know is...... Has anybody seen the same thing and if so, did you remove one of the file(s) and the DVD work?

Any info would be great!
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forums :D

this will be a multiangle DVD you are working on and it will all depend on whether you want to retain the multi angles and that's why you see the same scene's repeated

the Title selector is not available in split mode just yet as this would make it so much simpler :(

the solution to this is to start another version of DS and use it in strip mode and then go and edit the DVD using the Title selector as you would for DVD1 content. When you close the Title selector window it will then select the items you need to remove. You can now do 2 things

The first is you can manually copy the items selected in the 2nd DS into the 1st DS

the easier option is that you can Process DVD1 using the 2nd DS and it will create the 1st DVD. When it's finished UNDO the process, keep the selection and then open the title selector and then untick the DVD1 content and add the DVD2 content and process again. Make sure you have removed the processed DVD1 files from the Destination folder of course

Iin the past I have normally opened 2 DS's and used each to setup DVD1 and DVD2 in each version of DS. I process the 1st DVD and then UNDO the process when it's finished and removed the processed DVD1 files from the destination and ran the 2nd DS to create DVD2

it may sound a bit confusing at first but I'm sure you will soon know what I mean ;)

Yep

Yeah I understand.
I was going to try it that way the first time, but thought the splitter option would save some time.
So I'll try it ur way.
Ta!
