Well it was just a matter of time I suppose. The only "public" serial (name: Manny) which would allow direct updates has now apparently been blacklisted. I tried updating a few times but I got an "authentication failed" message.
I'm using The Cleaner 3.5 b3517 and the last database I could update to was 3326.
Now I have to download updates from the website manually....what a hassle. But at least that still works.
