And this online game ties in with the new BBC Radio 4 series

The first episode of this series should be available online from thursday, but I think I might hook my stereo to line-in and record it to CD at full FM quality - not got DAB, but they skimp so much on DAB bitrates that it's not as good as FM anyway.

PS. I've now made it to the pub - and got killed there instead

For my own use, natch!

I suppose, under the strictest interpretations, you should never record anything from the radio or TV, not to keep, not even to timeshift - reminds me, must find the lead by 11pm, and do a system check by then, otherwise if I do miss it, I'll have to make do with their "listen again" stream - at dialup bitrate! - actually, the quality is not bad, I guess they've got it well tuned for speech.

...Later....

Well, listened and grabbed, but strangely, the playback doesn't sound as crisp as the monitor through - and the Creative Sound Recorder seems to have normalized the recording without being asked - either that, or I managed to dial in a perfect 100% with no flat topping whatsoever.

Didn't think much of the first episode, seemed to be mostly preamble.

Anyway, it's now available on "Listen Again"

For anyone who missed it, or wants to hear it outside the BBC R4 coverage area - a 60k stream, handling the speech + music backing astonishingly well.
