TFM Audio filter

I recently installed Kazaa lite codec pack which has installed an audio filter TFM, this starts up with media player and distorts the sound, my question is how do i remove it?
i uninstalled the codec pack and run reg cleaner but it is still starting up, i did a file search and it didnt find it, i went to the web site but no help there.
i am using Windows XP

i know nothing about TFW, but would try to uninstall in "Device Manager" > "Audio, Video, Game Controllers" > "Audio Codecs" or "Legacy Audio Drivers"

Find whatever.ax, then unregister and delete it... and people wonder why I always bag codec packs?

The file should either be in system32 (win2k/xp) or perhaps somewhere in program files.

I had the same prob with that filter from the Klite codec pack, ifound the easiest way to disable it was to look in the start menu folder for a sub menu called Config, so it be Start/K-Lite Codec Pack/Config, in there are two shortcuts, one 2 disable the TFM filter & another 2 re enable it, jusy click the diable 1 & it will automatically unregister the filter :)

The prob i had wasnt distorted sound, it was just the fact that that filter popsup an icon in the systray everytime it played a sound, once i disabled it, it not been a prob since :)
