Does anyone know, where to find Teac Firmware for CD-W540E?
I need the 1.0A thing, not the update 1.0F.
I would appreciate an anwer. thx

I don't know exactly the different, but you need the 1.0A version first. Then you can update it. The 1.0F version can be downloaded at teac.com

I'm asking because i has bought a W540E for a friend last week.
Firmware is 1.0F, but i can't copy Cactus DataShield 200 with it.

So i thought it is able with version 1.0A.
Sometimes is a step backward a step forward in compatibility with copy protections.

Hey Duracell, does it work with 1.0F anyway? If yes, I'll try it

As i had bought the TEAC, already 1.0F was installed.

And i can not rip (with WaveLab) or copy (with CloneCD) an AudioCD which is protected by Cactus DataShield 200.
I don't know if it's possible with former firmware versions.

Did you try a Cactus DataShield 200 with your momentary firmware? (Which version do you have?)
