Hello, I have had Easy CD Creator 5.0 Platinum for a while now and when I upgraded to Windows XP Professional, I had installed Easy CD Creator 4.0 but then found out it was incompatible with XP, so I did a clean uninstall of that, tried to install Easy CD Creator 5.0, it said the cd-rw drive was incompatible with DirectCD, so I hit yes to still install DirectCD anyway, then downloaded the patches to upgrade to 5.02d, then recently I have tried to upgrade from version 5.0 to 5.1 Platinum, and it still refuses to write at any speed higher than 1x, I have did all the system tests and still the same results. However, with other software such as Nero Burning Rom it writes at the proper speed, although I prefer Easy CD Creator over any other software I have tried so far. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Oh and I have also upgraded my firmware for my TEAC CD-W512E from version 1.0A to 1.0F and nothing on the net I have found has been of help, hopefully someone here has a similar problem as me and knows a way around it. The people on the w*w.xp-erience.orgforum said the problem might be hardware-related, but Easy CD Creator 5.0 worked perfectly when I had Windows 98 SE, plus I know nothing about computer hardware.
