Sync Problem with DVD2SVCD

Hi,

last week i converted the Treasure Planet Movie with DVD2SVCD and it came out, with a 2 sec Audio delay, (I tried with CCE and TMPEG) i never had problems before and didnt change my settings - I Rip with DVDDecrypter - is there a problem with the decryter and the ifo file or is it in the movie ?
Or can I tell DVD2SVCD a delay in Audio or Video even the ifo file says no delay.

Thanks Wilbur

Which way out is the audio, is it to early or to late? Also try ripping the movie with Smartripper 2.41, I have less audio sync broblems there.

Use a program called AC3 Delay Corrector ( get from www.doom9.net download section) to apply a + or - audio offset to your AC3 audio track and then re-author.

Hi Chickenman,

Thanks for your answer - I have to say your DVD2SVCD Guides are realy a great help.

The video is late, audio comes first (maybe 1-2 sec), I changed from SmartRipper to DVDDecrypter because SmartRipper did not rip new Movies anymore (like Hannibal) and there is no new update to it.

I try the AC3 Delay Corrector, but i hope its not a new Copy Protection and DVDDecrypter cant deal with it.

Do you know a different Programm to convert vob to SVCD ?
exect programs like Dvdx Copy (because the Quality its not good)

Bye

Sorry, I assumed your making a DVDR of it not a SVCD. There is a Tute covering a/v sync problems in mpegs, just follow that. http://www.cdrbase.com/showthread.php?threadid=10651

For MPEG2 encoding I would really only recommend CCE. TMPGEnc can be used but final pic is not quite as good and it is slow. Procoder produces excellent quality but is so darn slow its not viable to be used.

Have a look at this project:

_http://www.svcdbuilder.vze.com/

Svcdbuilder uses CCE or Canopus ProCoder as MPEG2 encoder.
