SVCDCorder - SVCD creation the easy way

Has anyone tested the latest version 0.9.101 ? The TV application doesn"t work for me....

"...SVCDCorder can record TV movies automatically. You can define your TV channels in its integrated WDM-TV application...
After the movie is recorded, you can open it in SCVDCorder and cut out the commercials. SVCDCorder takes care of the further processing. Extracting the wav, encoding to mp2 and so on. If you whish the movie is beeing splitted into 2 parts....
Then it calculates the bitrate to fit on 2 (1) CD(s), generates a CCE or TMPGEnc project file and does all the steps of SVCD creation in a batch..."

Would be a nice piece of software... - if working correctly.
I have the same problem with the TV-App (maybe its the card - aiw radeon).

Don"t think so. I have Hauppauge"s WinTV with their WDM drivers and still doesn"t work. I also tried the btwdm 5.3.5 drivers with no success.

in the svcdcorder - forum the author says:
"currently my crossbar implementation is only working with the btwincap drivers...(all btxxx based chipsets)
but I'm working on that..."

Hi,

I tested this software. Install was fine, but the first attempt to record something resulted in an errormesages followed by a programcrash.

De-installed right away. Now have to wait a few versions for a little stability and cleanup.
