SVCD with subtitles

i've got a number of svcd as .bin and i can burn them easily. i also have the corresponding .sub. and I WANT TO ADD THE SUBTITLES to the SVCD before or while burning and have no idea how to do it. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEASE?!?!?!?

Use Isobuster (www.isobuster.com)to extract the MPG file out of the Cue/Bin file then use WinSubMux 0.2.0.2 (from download section of www.doom9.net) to add the subtitles to your SVCD stream.

If the Subs are not in the right format used by WinSubMux then there are converters availble from doom9 as well.

thanx for the answer, but unfortunately this i know and i've done it. my problem is the next step. HOW TO MAKE THE NEW SVCD. when i burnt the result (.mpg + .sub) with nero as file compilation (following the svcd file structure) my dvd player doesnot recognise the cd. i was still able to play the movie on the pc just as .mpg file.

the problem is not in the dvd player (i've tried the one in my pc). i've found out that when burning the .bin what dvd2svcd has made (or i've downloaded) everything is ok, but the problem starts when i copy the file structure. this means that in the .bin there is other information to be burned - not a standart file. so the question is:
1. extracting the .mpg file from the .bin - clear
2. adding subtitles - clear
3. burning the new svcd - ???WHAT WAY??? (how to create the new .bin file)
sorry if this sounds stupid, but i'm really confused.

You CANNOT just copy the Cue/bin structure and write a data disk, it just will not work. It MUST be written as a SVCD disk, they are very different structures.

As I said before,
1. Extract the MPG file out of the bin with Isobuster (right click *.MPG file and select "Extract but filter M2F2 mpeg frames"

2. Mux in your Subtiles wirh WinSubMux

3. Burn the final MPG file with VCDEasy. It automatically create a cue/bin file and then burns it CORRECTLY as a SVCD disk for you. Read the DVD to SVCD Tutorial on how to use VCDEasy.

as i expected - one more problem:
WinSubMux gives an error when i try to start muxing. for sure it does not like something, but i cannot understand what, as the .mpg seems to be ok (i can see it with a player).
any suggestions???

What format is the subs in? Are they suported by WinSubMix? Read its docs as I cant remember what it suports. If it needs conversion, then get one of the tools from doom9 download section.

probably this is the reason, as my .sub is a simple text file. in the submux readme they say:
'The file format is similar to "PHILIPS SVCD DESIGNER 1.5 - 2.0 SUBTITLES FILE".'
it sounds familiar, but it seems i don't have the proper conversion tool. maestro makes .son with a lot of .bmp but it is not formated the same way as intended. i could reformat it but there is one more severe problem. when making the .bmp maestro 'killed' my cyrilic font and i was not able to find a way to make it read it properly.
it will be good if you can suggest something.
now i have one more idea. it will be much easier if it is possible to convert the extracted .mpg file to .avi (some divx format) and then mux the text .sub and make the new svcd with dvd2svcd? what do you think about this approach???

hey CM, you are so fast. some minutes ago i've opened the thread and at the moment i closed it i saw you'vs answered. :)))
unfortunately you didn't comment my last idea: to turn the svcd (.mpg) to .avi. what do you think??? is is possible???
