Svcd To Dvd

Hi all im new to this so can anyone tell me how can i put a svcd movie to dvdr i got a program called showbiz i can put the movie to dvdr but all around the picture of the film it has got a black line all the way around the screen as if its in wide screen but it goes all around and makes the picture smaller is there a way to get the black lines off the sides of the picture? if anyone could help it would be great ive made loads of coasters

You need to reencode the Svcd, from what I've been reading.The guide explains the procedure.

I just used Tsuanami (TMPGEnc) to join, then convert my 3 SVCD mpeg2 files directly to DVD mp2+m2v files, imported into SpruceUp, and burned just fine.
