SVCD Sync Problem

Need a little help with a problem I have with my Home DVD Player, a Toshiba. When I play a SVCD disc the audio is slightly out of sync. I have made the discs using both TEMPGEnc and DVDx and I have the same problem. DVD's and VCD's all play perfectly, a friend also has the same DVD player as myself and the discs play out of sync on his machine also. The discs play perfectly in sync using PowerDVD and Windows Media Player so I am pretty sure the fault is with my DVD machine. What I would like to know is, has anyone cured the same problem with possibly software, to either slow the video down or speed the audio up, or has anyone a better solution?

Hey TONY, you should introduce yourself to the people on the forum.

What's the model # of the Toshiba?
Hi Blane,
Thanks for the reply, didn't understand your comment about introducing myself to the forum. Is it protocol to introduce oneself every time a message is posted? I thought that it was only 'friendly' to do it as a new member. Let me know and I will comply in future.
The model of the Toshiba is SD-210EB, and I know that there are issues with this model concerning SVCD Sync problems, but any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Tony

Thanks Blane for the information, I have had a look at www. dvdrhelp. and found some very helpful hints. I am hoping that the hints will be successful, Thanks again.
This wasn't my first post to this excellent forum, I have had some very helpful advise in the past from its members. I haven't posted for some considerable time though, before the change of addy. when it was CDR Soft cc. so perhaps the records got lost

No prob Tony. I just saw that it was your first post. Here's some info on your toshiba. Most say to turn off PBC in the options.

Sounds like its your standalone player not being able to read and play the svcds properly.Had a similar problem with an older Philips I had, changed it to a newer player and the same discs work fine.

Must agree on this one by bertieg.
Had me a Toshiba SD-1300 with the same problem (about 1-2 sec delay between audio and video), only with SVCDs. VCDs/DVDs played ok.
Since then I replaced it with a Pioneer dv533 and another low-cost dvd player - both play great all them SVCDs.

Hope your player is replaceable/refundable ;-) ...
