svcd - strange thing

i did an svcd using chickenmans guide to convert my dvd. It's a music dvd, fairly basic concert throughout so i guess it's either very compressable or something else went wrong.

The length of the concert was about 1hour 10 min, so i decided to use a high audio bitrate and go for 2 cds. i set the parameters in the cd bit and got a warning that the overal bitrate was too high, so i ignored that.

anyway, the cd came out one 1 cd using 3 passes with an average bitrate of 1275 or something. the quality is fine and i am pleased with it but why did it not span over 2 discs and use a higher video bitrate?

jesus i like one disc as long as the quality is good you got lucky if you asked me thats like buying something for a dollar and wishing it cost more

lol ;D

it's not great when you are not sure why.

i still think there was room for improvement in the quality area though. The tv does blur the picture into looking better then it really is. On a monitor you can see more graininess.

I am pleased with the result but why did it do this?
