SVCD Question

I made a good quality mpeg 1 file of a movie off satelite,i normally use TMPGEnc to convert to svcd,i was wondering can you use DVD2SVCD to do this the reason being it cuts the files into proper size for my 80 minute cd's.

So you capture a Sat pic to an MPEG 1 file, then convert to an MPEG 2 (SVCD) file? Hmm... that will not give you the best result, can you capture to an AVI instead, even using DivX codec? Then you can convert that AVI to SVCD with DVD2SVCD and get better pic quality as well.

Ya i forgot to say i capture with a ati all in wonder 7500 and am useing win xp for the windows limit ,what avi setting do you recommend?
