Subtitles

[Smelly Fish]

Hi, I am trying to rip a Manga/cartoon DVD for a mate of mine and he wants it to be riped to VCD in Japanese, with english subtitles. I have been using Clad DVD, DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc and NERO to back my DVD's up, but havent ever had the need to do so with subtitles. Can anyone please help me here and point me in the right direction
