I have this problem. All my AVIs play fine with the subtitles in BSplayer, but MPEG-2 files (from SVCDs, I am not sure if MPEG-1 files from VCDs are affected too, but don't think so) doesn't play the subs, even trying to see the info in Bsplayer (video info with Alt+3) doesn't show anything. I have installed the Ligos MPEG2 decoder that comes with the last K-Lite Codec Pack.
Is this a known behavor in BSPlayer and MPEG2 files?
