Sub in SVCD

Can i put in sub in a movie that i converted from AVI to SVCD, how can i du that?? to burn on cd to watch on my DVD with sub.

Subs is not my scene really, but I understand iAuthor can mux in Subs to a SVCD mpg file. I dont have a d/l link but I'm sure a quick search via Google will find it.
