Studio PCTV USB in XP

Hello all.

I've Windows XP Pro SP1 and PCTV USB (Pinnacle). Is there any
certain way to make this hardware work? Pinnacle does not support it and suggests me to change ... Operating System!

AFAIK this thing never really worked under any OS... (I do have one, which I got for free and tried it on my laptop). The picture quality on every USB 1.X TV tuner is a sucker at the very best.
BTW it's not a bad idea at all to change OS.

faster ?...if you are a gamer then w2k isn´t recommended and for multimedia xp is the better choice too.

Of course you will need a littlebit faster pc then.

In any case, USB 1.X TV cards cannot keep the needed framerate and use software alchemies to fill the gap. The result is utterly crappy picture quality- and this applies for any USB 1.X TV card in the market, not just Pinnacle. USB 2.X and/or firewire solutions should work well, though.
