Starting to hate LOTR

Actually, I'm not starting to hate it. I bought it 3 days ago because I loved it at the theatre.

Here's my problem: The music volume in the movie is too loud to understand the words in many scenes that contain dialogue.
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Many movies have a booming score in the background that muffles the speech in the foreground.
When I saw this movie at the theatre I no trouble whatsoever in understanding what was being said.

Is there a setting that can help me with this??

Are u talking about the retail DVD?
I watched it last night and had to turn the centre volume right up on my dolby system.
Make sure u dont have dolby 5.1 enabled in the dvd menu if you only have stereo.
