splitting a mpeg file into chapters

hi all,

Can anyone tell me how to split a mpeg file up into smaller files so i can make a menu of different chapters on my (s)vcd's.

yeah, use VCDEASy to burn instead of NERO

As said, you dont have to split the mpeg into bits to add chapters. Use VCDEasy, load in mpg file, go to Chapters folder and set them manually or say 10 equidistant ones. Hit GO and it will create a cue/bin file or VCDEAsy can burn it for you as well. You then use the remote control numbers to jump to the chapter. ie press 3 and it will jump to 3rd chapter when playing on your DVD Player.
