Split an MP3

Hi all,

I was wondering how to split an MP3 in to two?, I have a MP3 but its 2 songs in 1 file and wanted to split it in to 2 seperate MP3 files at the right part.

What program would I need a whats the process?, please make any instructions easy.

"Tutorial" MP3 splitting using Nero
i have seen this question on how to split large MP3 files several times now on the forum, please find as an attatchment in word.doc format a short tutorial on to do it, original posted at address below

Mp3 splitting using Nero is a no-go!
MP3's are converted to .wav before splitting, and reencoded again, which is clearly unacceptable (significant performance loss). The tool suggested (MP3 DirectCut) does all the tasks without touching the file contents. There is also "MP3 Trim" which comes as freeware and a "pro" shareware version, but DirectCut works better and is free to use.

I have tested this one some time ago, it simply refused to work (Win2000). The author claims that his last fix makes it able to work under NT kernels, but on my 2000 SP3 machine it still stubbornly refuses to work. I have also tried it on an XP SP1 VMware machine, with the same results.
