is therre a way to burn they whole dvdr with features if it is initially larger than 4.7 gig with DVDSHRINK, or DVD DECRYPTOR or SMARTRIPPER? even if the deleted scenes where of poorer quality it's nice to have all the functions.

Thats the whole idea of using DVD Shrink :( . Rip the entire disk using either Decryptor or smartripper, then let DVD Shrink do its work (use backup NOT re-author).
To ensure you get all the files from the original DVD use 'backup' mode in smartripper or 'filemode' and select all files in DVD decryptor. :D

The other way around this problem is to use a program like DVDXCOPY XPRESS and tick the entire movie box got get all the menus, features everything. I used it on a few disks and have had great results from it.

The other option is to get anyDVD and CloneDVD and do the full movie that way.

on a related note...

my XCOPYXPRESS stops ripping at 97% in step 1...Is this likely an error qith my disc, dvd burner (i use it as my dvd-rom) or program?

Sorry but I cant comment on XCOPYXPRESS cus I aint used it .. yet.
However, is it an original DVD or DVDR ?.... is it scratched ? ... I only use DVD Decryptor or smartripper ... they are very well established as 'THE' rippers to use. If they cant do it , I dont know wot could. Other reasons will then be down to the disk or DVD drive.
My NEC 1300 can sometimes have trouble verifying dvd's after burning in Nero or just simply ripping them, where as my Pioneer DVDR 104 will read anything ! I tend to use an 'old' Pioneer DVD 104s DVD rom to read the disks. It just works better.

Ive never had a real issue with DVDXCopy Xpress aside from the faulty disk issue that I sometimes get with rental movies.

If you are having a problem with a certain DVD I would invest in a repair kit and see if that helps or try another DVD to see if you are getting the same issue.

If you get the same issue on another DVD there are ways to narrow down the fault. One is download a new version of DVDXCopy Xpress, two is look at the firmware you have installed on the burner and think about getting it updated.
