sound options....

i dont see my sound options in the icon tray by the clock anymore.... how do i get it back??..i already checked in the control panel thing but i didnt see anything that said anything about putting it back on the icon tray....

Tommie... when you say that you checked in the "control panel thing." You mean... Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sound and Multimedia > Sound Tab > "Show volume control on the taskbar," right?!

If so, what did you do recently that caused it to disappear? Ie, new hardware, drivers, proggie, updates, etc.

well recently i updated my sound card....it was originally creative sound blaster pci or something like that....then i went to the site and download the new version i guess....its called sound blaster pci ensoniq something like that....after i installed it....that sound thing in my icon tray just dissappeared....i dont know why....and yes when i said i checked it in the sound options i looked in the control panel > sound audio devices > blah blah u get the point....

Try eliminating the sound drivers and reinstalling.

Try eliminating the sound drivers and reinstalling.

This is what I would do Tommie. Uninstall, delete any associated folders, clean the registry, and reboot. This way you start clean.
