sound is too quick

i`ve just converted avi film to a dvd the original frame rate was 14.985 . cinema craft encoder ,said that it did not recognize the frame rate and would adjust it.
now when i play the dvd the film is fine but the sound is twice as fast
can any one help me sort the sound out.

Sounds like you probably have a crappy VCD re-encode. My advice would be after you have watched it on your PC to simply delete it.

That said if you frameserve with AVISynth you can use say
FrameDbl(128,3) or
changefps(29.970) or
convertfps(29.970)
to get it back to the original 29.97fps.

Just occured to me that on such crappy re-encodes they also cut the audio sample rate in half. That is probably the cause of your problem.
