i have a sony burner which should be writing at 4 speed but its only doing 2 speed please help i was told to update the firmware but cant find it thanks all stevie

Ihave same burner no probs AFAIK there is no new firmware

What media are U trying to burn??

i am using princo dvds and they burn at 4 speed on my teak burner

Yep princo 4x burn @ 4 OK on mine <> so I am at a loss other than try a Ritek dye DVDR <> It seems the same burner on different PC's does different things



Of course your burner could be faulty & probably is if U cant burn Ritek 4x @ 4
