sony dru 510A +RW dvd reading problem

My sony dru510A +RW reads some DVD but does not read others.
O.S is windows XP Pro.
Please help.

It does not read movie DVDs. Like it reads most of the DVDs but when i tried a bug's life DVD it would not read it and ask me to insert DVD.

The Sony firmware is RPC-2, so after a few playbacks it should not be able to read certain video DVD's.
The only solution, since there are no RPC-1 firmwares for the Sony drives, seems to be that one:
