sonic mydvd 5 problem

i have just installed sonic mydvd 5.....
however, when i run it, i am getting an error saying *can not read skin file. please reinstall application"
has anyone else had this and if so, how can i rectify it???

Return it to the store you bought it, and ask for another one which is not defective.
Or maybe you didn't check the specs- there's an ummm... "retail" version around which works only under Windows XP SP1+.
