Someone pls help.. editing problems

Previously I used VCD Cutter to cut out "advert" in some DivX movies. It worked great, but today, I can't seem to save it as *.AVI format. I only have one and only option *.M1V. What happen??

Nevermind, I went to VCDhelp. Found another program which will work, VirtualDub. But this program is slow when saving. It seems to be re-encode the whole thing and not like VCDcutter which just "cut" the unwanted part off.

Any help?? Thanks!

Virtualdub is the best way. Especially if you are thinking of encoding to svcd/vcd in the future.

Is there a better way like VCD cutter which doesn't require to re-encode the DivX when saving? I am still new with all these stuffs.

with Virtual Dub you don't need to re-encode. VCD cutter doesn't actually cut properly, so you are left with an improper vcd/divx file(s).
Important thing when cutting with VirtualDub/NanDub is to make sure under video and audio you have Direct stream copy <-- that way it won't try to re-encode.
