I know it sound unbelivieably,but i had a hd problem,couldnt access more then half files on it,it was a maxtor160gb,even when you reboot the pc it was coming mesage from Smart feature that"""failure is imminent_try to save your data asap"""".Installed all kind of those miracle recovery poroducts like easy recovery,getdataback,novastor recovery and few more and all of those got some files back but not even one all files..Heard about this on some site,downloaded and installed,made a diskette as repair is done in dos,and after 2 days-thats how long took i got all files back.It fixed 5243 bad sectors.
Reduction of tryal is that you can see if it can be fixed o5r not,so you buy only if you need....
