Software to uninstall all drivers from windows

Hiyas,

A friend of mine mentioned some software to me, he thinks it's available somewhere on MS's website but I can't see it anywhere.

Basically it's a tool you use when you upgrade the hardware in your PC, it removes all your device drivers from windows, and then lets you replace the hardware, so when you boot up again windows detects all the new hardware with no traces of all the old device drivers.

I am using XP, but even if this program doesnt work with XP it still may come in useful to me in my line of work.

He sais its official MS and is..

"just a little applet"

but that could mean anything.. lol

anyone know anything about this?

" You can finally stop scratching your head trying to figure out why Windows won't detect that new hardware! Advanced Hardware Editor is a simple yet safe utility which allows you to easily delete hardware entries that device manager hides from you. In addition to simply removing devices, you can change advanced settings and save them to modify the way a piece of hardware works. Additionally, Advanced Hardware Editor has one click backup and restore functionality for your entire registry! "
Good luck!
