Software to make my own films in SVCD

Hello,

I need some help from you.
I buy an Mini DV camera with a firewire connection.
I want to put the films of my family on cds to allow my parents looking some films about my child.
But i'm looking for a software which is enough simple and easy to use and do it.
I want it to contain the thinks to do automaticly the operation of convertion from my camera to the svcd.
I think about Pinacle Studio 8; is-it possible and is this software good.

What part of the world you from? Anyway Pinacle video products are very good. Have you or did you get any software with your camera and if so what?

Hello Rastabt.

I'm from France, and I get an software with my camera but it's no good and not able to transform my films in SVCD.
ANd it's important for me because I want to do it for my Father and my Mother becuse an SVCD is easy to use (like a cd to put in the reader) and a vhs video recorder is to complicate for them...
DOn't laugh my parents are olds !

Just beware of the Sony MicroMV format

It's a swine to deal with - very few programs accept it, and the tapes cost a flipping fortune as well.

A friend got one - and fortunately for them, it turned out to be faulty as well - and no more of the same model.
