im just wondering what is the best software dvd player out there??..people say powerdvd and windvd....i currently have windvd installed but its annoying me with the gay interactual player that always prompts me everytime i insert a dvd....so i want to uninstall windvd and find another dvd player for my drive....also does powerdvd or any other good dvd player out there has the gay interactual player that comes with it??..i dont understand why they put interactual with windvd when windvd is able to play the dvd already there is no point in having 2 dvd players....

In my experience the playback quality is almost impossible to differentiate.
So for me it comes down to the gui, the general versatility and speed of launch. Imo all the "big" ones lack horribly in all three.
I use mediaplayer classic(with its integrated splitter), ac3filter and intervideos video filter/codec.
Only drawback ive found is that the running time of mpv/m2v files are not reported correctly.
