so how do i burn a 900 meg mpeg onto two discs

TMPGEnc will cut files in to two parts so you can fit it to two cds there are other freeware tools out there that will also cut mpegs in half just use google and put in "mpeg cutting tool" no quotes

Could also use a 90min CDR if available and supported by your hardware and by hardware I also mean the intended player.
