Slow by name, slow by nature...

I'm trying to follow Chicken Man's beautifully laid out tutorial.
However, I'm stuck right at the first hurdle.

I downloaded "DVD2VCD 1.2.1 build 2". At Step 2, at the "click the Misc tab" section, I cannot click "convert divx3 to div4" and the "Output file type" shows "SCVD, DVD and VCD" not "MPEG-2 or MPEG-1"

I selected "DVD" and carried on throughout the tutorial but when I got up in the morning, it had completed 8%, encoding the audio but not the video. It refuses to go any further, saying there is a discrepancy between a file and one on the original video.

Do i need to download a different version of DVD2VCD and if so, where can I get it from, or am I just being really stupid and missing something obvious?

Please help!

The version of DVD2SVCDc you have, just came out a few days ago, I havent even installed it myself yet !

If it hangs on the audio, then I assume your encoding an AVI to DVDR ? If the avi has a problem with the audio (common in many avi's) then try loading the avi into VirtualDUB or NanDUB, set Video to Direct Stream Copy, set Audio to Full Processing Mode and set its compression to PCM. Then Save AVI and try encoding that avi.
