slipstreaming win Xp & SP1 problem

Gidday form downunder, i have problems trying to slipstream win XP & SP1 onto one CD. In fact i cannot get the files to intergrate.
i get a box stating :
"not all files necesary to perform an intergrated installation are present".

i am using the devils own corporate version of XP.

I am using the guide posted at h**p://kickme.to/trwhotfilez and have also tried the guide at h**p://www.tacktech.com/ to no avail.

has anyone had a similar problem & konw of a fix...or have any ideas on this.

p.s. also tried a new download of SP1

I had no problems.
1. Extracted sp1 to a folder (don't run it)
2. Made xp folder (ex: c:\xp), put the i386 folder in it (the whole folder)
3. CD'd to the sp1\update folder.
4. Ran update -s:C:\xp
5. Copy the ENTIRE folder back to a Bootable CD (the i386 folder and the new sp file created in the CD (C:\XP) root.

Actually, you don't even have to manually extract the Service Pack files first.

Say I have my SP1 file (not extracted) located in C:\SP1 and my XP cd files copied to C:\WinXP. The following command will work fine for integrating SP1 (type in at Start -> Run):

C:\SP1\sp1_filename.exe /s:C:\WinXP

The DevilsOwn Key will not work of course, but any key generated by the BlueList Keygen will work just fine (I tested several). Also, regardless of what others have been saying for a while, the keys do not have to have a 640 id.

As for Windows Update, it should still work for now, until the switch over to version 5, then they're supposed to start checking product keys whenever you log into the site. So, use the corporate Windows Update instead :)

This one won't scan your computer for updates, it will just let you download individual files for each update so you can run them whenever you like. Although, I suspect that even after they switch to Windows Update v5, it will still work just fine with a generated key. We'll have to wait and see...

yep, works fine now. Used the procedure from:h**p://w*w.tacktech.com

i suspect i had finger trouble before.

used the blue list keygen & MS corporate ver of SP1.

Just a little question: I have no problem to apply the sp1 on XP but how could I be sure I can make a bootable cd with sp1 slipstreamed ?

You can either preserve the original boot.bin from altering an existing win xp cd image. Or Get hold of one of many tutorials ( and a copy of the boot binary) on how to copy & re-burn an xp cd from the internet.
