slipstreaming offfice xp....

i tried slipstreaming the admin sp2 version into a regular microsoft office xp professional 2002 (non-sp)....i followed one of the guides i found on the internet http://www.petri.co.il/office_xp_sp_slipstreaming.htm....after i did everything it looks right....but when i installed it with the sp2 it doesnt say that its sp2....when i go to the help tab and go down to where it says "about microsoft word" or whatever the application is it just says that its a regular office xp pro....it doesnt say that its sp2....so i dont know if i did something wrong or not....i have another office xp pro cd....it has sp3 built in it....it shows the SP3 when i go to the help tab....what am i doing wrong??..how can i tell that i slipstreamed it successfully??..

It should afaik say sp2 in the about box.
With slipstreaming office service packs you dont get an ok message.
You should however get an error message if something is wrong.
You did make an admin install point first?
I wrote a small how2 some time ago.

This is for both 1 and 2 but just follow the pointers for admin install and the sp2 and you should be set.

It seems to me your directory commands must be off.
Is the proplus.msi located at c:\Office_XP_Professional_SP2\proplus.msi
Perhaps follow my tut to the letter?
