Slight problem with NeoEncoder

Hi!

I've been ripping X-Files dvd boxed sets using smartripper.

I then use NeoEncoder and found with season 3 that the following formula gave a really good result:

CodecG; Total pass; autocropping; and cut to 300mb.

Problem is, when I use the exact same formula on season 4 I get a slight blurry image on action scenes and also some linnear pattern.

I tried using the same CodecG with 1 and 2 pass and there is perhaps a small improvement, but not much.

Any suggestions please?

suggest you do not use the NeoEncoder. Have you looked at the tutorials by ChickenMan?

Sounds like some interlacing problem to me.

I would also advise using Vidomi for your DivX production as an alternative. It can handle 2 pass DivX 5 encodes. See the tutorial section for a How to.
