SINGLE SIDED and DOUBLE SIDED ram modules

does it matter if you have a single or double sided ram module and you buy the opposite will it not work or be slower

not slower or faster, but it may not recognize the full size or become unbootable;

have a look at the motherboard manual and the manufactors hompage; follow their compatibility recommendations;
