Help anyone !!

Info needed on the possible side effects of shrinking or compressing dvd movies to fit dts sound files etc

Any info appreciated.
I followed the instructions in one of the threads on how to decrypt , shrink and burn, most helpful and easy to follow however it didnt work for some reason, it will start the opening seconds then lock up ( this is on my main DVD player ) not puter, the puter tells me there is something wrong with the disk, it will play if i go to the folder and click the vid icons but thats another story, what im tryin to acheive in the end is the main movie plus audio settings on one disk.

I Rip with decrypter & compress picking the audio that appears to be the DTS & not any other (Dont need em)(using the compression S/ware of your choice) I then Burn the AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders to DVDR with Record now max.

It may be U will have to use the Menu on the movie to select DTS audio (many films have an audio setup menu)(On your standalone)

Are you sure boith your DVD Player and PC player software can playback DTS audio? A compliant NTSC dvd MUST have an AC3 audio present as a minimum, other audio forms (DTS, LPCM, MP2, etc) can be added in other tracks.

Yes, Ive just brought a new Harman Kardon receiver with dts capability, the dvd writer does not have dts playable capabilities, Ive used dvdxcopy express which is fine if you dont want to use the audio menu because it cuts them all out, this im sure your aware of.

Are you in a PAL or NTSC country ? As I said abouve, if your in an NTSC country then you MUST include 1 AC3 audio track else it may/will not playback properly.
