Shrink v Recode

Everyone talks about Shrink, but since the writers now write Recode, is Recode any better?

I sometimes need a quick n simple program, so?

They are "almost" the same thing, since the coder is the same person.
Since Shrink is free, I never bothered about Recode.

Personally, I havent found any difference between the 2 when used on the same dvd. As everyone has said, try them yourself, Shrink is also free.
