hello guys
right i got a secound pc im building as suming to mess around with and OC and im looking for a CPU so went onto ebay and there is a 3ghz P4, 478 but it quotes "This was removed from a fully working PC but when removed it caused it to very slightly bent some pins and managed to break one pin off" and he says latter that he has seen some cpu's work with a pin missing WORKING but not many and my query is WILL IT WORK WITHOUT 1 PIN? and how easily isit to solder a NEW pin on? Ow and by the way its only £5 so thats why im considering it LOL :)

wanna laugh some poor person bought it for £40 plus £5 postage "GOOD LUCK TO THEM" lol
anyhow thanks guys i didnt buy in the end!!!:p

Buying a CPU with a broken pin

There is an old saying that fits this situation very well:-

'The poor man always pays twice'

I have in fact bought several used CPU's but never one in a damaged condition.
