Got few shn files and wanna encode to mpc..Couse they are so big.....But i need some file for speek(shoirten exe)..Can somebody attach it--cant find it anywhere???

Yes,i need a shorten.exe so i can convert all shn to mpc..All those links wont get me that..couse i checked it before...Becouse i dont wanna install all that mkw utility..I just wanna encode directly to mpc..Thats all......But thanks anyway

The 3.5.1 (zip, DOS/Windows) on the last link contains -
Shorten.exe, Cygwin.dll, Readme.txt & Install.txt

Unless there's a non-cygwin version somewhere

Not quite sure where Speek fits in, as it seems to be a frontend, rather than a transcoder

Actually,found it by one of those yours ha threads.//...Strange is that on earlier version you cant seek on the file...Like its a lp record?????What a dummy format.....My shorten advantere is finished earlier then i thought.....Wave was a 51 mb,and compressed was 42????

Its not my prefereed one-either..Got some recordinfs live and it was in that format.......Like when i encoded few times in losless..I used ape.....Worked ok...Gave compression around 50%......But i always use a lossy formats and suits me ok...
