ShareScan is a tool designed to integrate the various sources of shared resources available today all under on interface. There has been a recent explosion in the number of platforms available to users to share resources between them. Some such major platforms include FTP sites, Napster, Microsoft Shares, or Gnutella. Unfortunately, each of these platforms hosts a different interface, making it harder and harder for the user to easily search through everything they have available to them. ShareScan's goal is to create an application which brings together all of these platforms under a single, simple to use interface. Sharescan's features include A simple to use, unified search over multiple sources, unified browsing of all resources available over multiple sources. It functions as a single download manager, which manages downloads from multiple sources. ShareScan also offers integrated support for special features of specific platforms and more.
